What is the SIP card?The SIP card (Sistema de Información Poblacional) is a personal and non-transferable document that grants access to the Spanish public healthcare system, including primary care, specialist care, and hospital care. Requirements for a European citizen to obtain the SIP card

• Legal residence: You must be registered in the population register (empadronamiento) of your municipality.
